Apple fixes more bugs in iOS 13.2.3

Mail, Spotlight Search and iMessage bugs are fixed

Apple released iOS and iPadOS 13.2.3 today. It addresses a number of bugs that were introduced since the launch of iOS 13 in September 2019.

Spotlight search is one of the features that has received some love with this update. It has been failing for some users and Apple says that Search should now work correctly across Mail, Notes and the Files app.

Apple also fixed a bug that affected apps which download content in the background, such as podcasting apps. Apple Mail has been updated, and will hopefully now fetch new messages when working with Exchange accounts. This is the most common way for business to get emails, so it’s good to see that Apple has addressed this.

Other fixes that are listed on Apple’s release notes for iOS 13.2.3 relate to iMessage. Some photos, links, and other attachments haven’t been shown correctly in the iMessage details view for some users.

iOS 13.2.3 includes bug fixes and improvements for your iPhone. This update:

Fixes an issue where system search and search within Mail, Files, and Notes might not work

Addresses an issue where photos, links, and other attachments might not display in the Messages details view

Fixes an issue that could prevent apps from downloading content in the background

Resolves issues that may prevent Mail from fetching new messages, and fail to include and quote original message content in Exchange accounts

The new iOS and ‌iPadOS‌ 13.2.3 updates are available on all eligible devices in the Settings app. To access the updates, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
